Hi, I’m Jen!
Becoming a life coach was a no brainer for me because I have always been happiest in service to others. I learned this early on. As a sixth grader I spent my free time volunteering in the special needs class and this brought me so much joy. I continued volunteering with special needs students as a teen and then worked with them as a young adult. Although I enjoyed college, I decided to forego a degree and career in order to stay at home and raise my three daughters, which included home-schooling them until college. Once my girls were independent teens, I decided to work part-time for a bit of social interaction as well as to supplement the household income. Unexpectedly, the joy I found in being of service to others was reignited and I realized that I had been putting many of my own interests and needs on the back burner by focusing exclusively on my family. Working inadvertently reminded me that I had personal goals separate from my family. In 2018 I decided to attended the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. During Life Coach training I learned how much of myself I had unintentionally lost while focusing all of my time and energy on my family. Now I coach women to rediscover and prioritize their individual needs and wants so that they can approach all things with their authentic selves and ultimately enjoy greater satisfaction in life.

A friend of mine referred to me as her life coach. I've always been someone who people would come to for support with a challenge they were facing. This inspired me to want to help people. Growing up with a mother who had a mental illness, I initially embarked on obtaining my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and spent 7.5 years in social services. As much as I felt like I was in service of others, I still felt like something was missing. I felt stuck. I wasn't empowering my clients to have them realize their own path to success, I was telling them what they needed to do to succeed. Then I remembered being my friend's "life coach," and so I attended the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching training program. Through this training, I experienced immense life changing opportunities. On day one, our group did an envisioning activity, and by our last day in our program, a lot of what I had envisioned for myself became a reality. This showed me the power of life coaching.
Now, I help women who feel stuck in their job/career discover new perspectives and create goals that lead to personal and professional success.
